Monday 29th January: King's Park

Went to our favourite breakfast haunt, Miss Maud' s for a coffee and egg/bacon sandwich.

Our plans were to go to King's Park which is the largest city park in the world (even bigger than Central Park). We were delighted to find there was a free bus there.

Can you see little Roo?

Silly me, I thought we all spoke the same language! On the bus going to King's Park - translation: have you validated your ticket?!

We enjoyed a lovely walk with amazing views over Perth and the Swan River. There was also a beautiful war memorial which the Queen visited in 2000.

The bridge we saw from the boat the other day

People just spontaneously ask if you'd like them to take your photo

What you lookin' at?

On ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day each year around 40,000 people come up here for a ceremony starting at 5.30am

We returned to the city centre and browsed the shops and then back to Miss Maud' s for tea, coffee and cake.
