Sunday 4 February: Dunedin - Out in the Country

After lunch Sheryl and Jim took us out into the country and on to the Otago Peninsula, renowned for its wildlife and for its land-based colony of Royal Albatross.

Stand off at High Noon

View over the area where Sheryl used to work and where one of their two daughters now lives

One sea lion among the sea birds

Thank goodness our ship is still there!

The penguin's main enemies are feral cats and stoats. Can you see the small cat just above the stone?

It's a hard life being a sea lion!

There's a joke about this photo which wold take too long to relate!
